Description

What is the KOEL Ravo Wool Tex suitable for?

The Ravo Wool Tex is designed as a children's barefoot boot for family hikes in autumn and weekend winter walks. KOEL includes it in its trekking line, featuring a high shaft and durable rubber sole, made in Portugal. It is equally suitable for the walk to school on frosty mornings.

Quick closure: A Velcro strap and elastic laces close the boot. This makes it quick to put on and take off when you need to head out in a hurry.

Warmly lined, water-repellent: The wool lining keeps feet warm and dry according to the manufacturer. On the outside, suede meets textile, and the boot is specified as water-repellent.

Freedom for children's toes: The wide toe box gives toes room to move naturally with every step. The foot works on its own instead of being restricted – that is the core of a children's barefoot shoe.

In the package: 1 pair of KOEL Ravo Wool Tex, packed in our plastic-free packaging.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can my child wear socks in these boots?

Yes, absolutely. The term 'barefoot shoe' describes the feeling of movement (wide toe box, thin flexible sole, zero drop), not a bare foot.

How much space should there be in the front of the boot?

Plan for at least 12 mm in addition to the foot length. New shoes can have 15–17 mm to allow room for growth (for early walkers: the smallest size with at least 12 mm). KOEL states that they already include growth room in their sizes—so you do not need to order a larger size.

Is the insole removable in this boot?

Yes, the insole can be removed. According to the manufacturer, it is made of recycled thermal felt.

My child is wearing barefoot shoes for the first time—what should I look out for?

Children generally adapt to barefoot shoes faster than adults because their foot muscles have not yet atrophied. Nevertheless, introduce the shoes gradually and consult a pediatrician or orthopedist if you notice anything unusual.

Will feet stay dry in the Ravo, even in puddles?

Don't count on it: KOEL describes the Ravo as water-repellent, not waterproof. A rubber boot is better suited for puddles and mud.
